I'm Charlie Thiry
A 26 year old medical doctor with four years of clinical experience, having recently completed my community service year at a regional level hospital in rural Limpopo, South Africa. I am an ambitious, passionate and empathetic medical officer. My main area of interest is internal medicine, with a passion for cardiology and electrophysiology.
I've always wanted to become a cardiologist and been fascinated by ECGs from the first day of medical school.
I've travelled to 32 countries and lived in 5 of them: Cameroon, Egypt, Belgium, Nigeria and now South Africa.
I speak 5 languages: English, French, Afrikaans, Dutch/ Flemish and some rudimentary isiXhosa.
I absolutely love reading everything I can get my hands on: Non-fiction, biography, business and philosophy.
